About this site
I built and maintain this site primarily as a professional portfolio. Maintaining websites that look a lot like this is my day job. But I also wanted this to curate my online presence generally. I had three audiences in mind as I put this site together:
- People from LinkedIn
- People who search my name and location
- People I meet randomly in real life
Some of these audiences are in tension with each other. For example, a recruiter who clicked in here from LinkedIn is a very different person than an acquaintance who just wants to find my Instagram. I decided to lead with the most public aspects of my life: where I’m from, where I work, went to school, volunteer activities I’m involved in. From there, it’s choose your own adventure. If you’re interested in me personally, you can link out to my socials immediately. If you’re interested in me professionally, you can click into the projects section.
How I built it
Section titled “How I built it”I built this site using Astro, a JavaScript framework. The site is hosted on Vercel. For typography, the header wordmark uses Zen Dots. Body copy and headings use Zen Kaku Gothic New. Code and UI accents use Geist Mono.
